Welcome to Wood!  Unlike Steel, no two pieces of wood are the same.   Pressure Treated Timber in the round, that has not been sawn, is still full of natural tension as it gradually dries out.  It is therefore virtually guaranteed to crack.  The cracks are known as "shakes".

Since 1990 Hout-land outdoor activity play equipment has been the choice of discerning parents in Belgium, France and Holland, where wood is very much the preferred material for this type of equpment. 

When planning what to buy, we suggest you carefully measure the area where the equipment is to be located.  For swings you will need at least 3m (10foot) swinging space either side of the cross member.

Equipment must be used and maintained in accordance with the instructions.  All Hout-land timber components are guaranteed for 10 years against structural failure caused by rot.  All ropes and accessories carry a 1 year guarantee.

As timber is a natural product, surface cracks and shakes will occur and knots may change in appearance;  these will not affect the structural integrity of the product and are excluded from the terms of this warranty.

In addition to the above, the following exclusions also apply:  Normal wear and tear - Accidental damage and misuse - Mishandling or damage in transit - Faulty installation.
